UK Gambling Commission Lifts Genesis Global License Suspension
Back in July, the UK Gambling Commission suspended the remote gaming license of Malta-based gaming giant Genesis Global Ltd, over suspected breach of licensing rules.
At that time, the UKGC didn't disclose which potential breaches they were investigating, but Genesis Global Ltd appealed the decision immediately and vowed to do their utmost to assist the UKGC in resolving this situation as fast as possible.
License restored in October 2020
The company's efforts seem to have worked, as on October 14th, the UKGC lifted the license suspension, and Genesis Global Ltd is again allowed to accept UK players to play on their sites.
The UKGC didn't yet release an official statement about their findings or the lack thereof, although they added a note in their initial press release ↱ that Genesis Global Ltd's assurances to the regulator led to the lifting of the suspension, but that the license continues to be under review. However, no mention of any findings has been provided.
